Testosterone undecanoate is converted in the body to testosterone. It is considered a safer oral form of testosterone. Free testosterone, when taken orally, is not effective because it is immediately deactivated by the liver. But chemically-modified form of free testosterone is reported to be effective when taken orally: it is a testosterone undecanoate. Testosterone undecanoate is absorbed through the small intestine into the lymphatic system, posing less burden on the liver. Undecanoate can help you increase the level of testosterone in your body for the normal production of sperm, the maintenance of sex drive, erectile potency, and the functioning of the prostate gland and other reproductive structures. One disadvantage of orally administered undecanoate is that it is eliminated from the body very quickly. Usually it takes 3-4 hours to absolutely eliminate drug from the organism. Thus, frequent administration is necessary - usually 3-6 capsules a day.
